Sanyo 19 was good, re-capped now strange roll after 5 minute warm up??
Have a strange one, to pick someone's brain if I could?
19 Sanyo found in Nintendo cabs. Punch-Out!! to be exact.
Has two monitors. They had NO symptoms of fail but figured after 25 years they could use a cap kit. Keep in mind BOTH monitors were in working order BEFORE cap kits. Lower monitor capped and works great! Today I got around to capping the upper monitor. Plugged in all was good. However, after about a 5 minute warm up period the monitor begins to roll like a bad vertical hold situation?? Even though the vertical hold is fine on it. If I tap the front of the monitor it comes back and hold for a few seconds then back to roll.....
If I power down the monitor and let it cool off for a few, plug back in, all is good again for another 5 minutes then it begins to roll.
The old saying "don't fix what is not broke" well.........perhaps I should have left it alone but felt a servicing after 25 years was in order.
Is there anything anyone can suggest? Strange that it would be good for 5 minutes then roll? Anything I should be looking at??
