I am recapping my first monitor and a guy sold me a cap kit that is for sanyo monitors. He said that it is for 19" and 14" monitors. I nervously gutted the board from the nest of wireshoping it will go back without extra pieces. I replaced two coded caps like c 601 and c 609 and realized that the values on the replacements are not the same on all of them. I am in need of help and it is too late to call him. I want to put this together before I forget how even though I have pictures. I need serious help. I did not use bob roberts kit because this guy is reputable but the schematic doesn't match the monitor. SOS SOS SOS. By the way my soldering on the first 2 looks perfect. Thank you.

Caps are rated in microfarud and volts. Microfaruds needs to match but the voltage can always be higher never lower. 35uf 160v. Could be replaced with a 35uf 200v. Hope this helps.

One of the replacements is c458. The original value is 47 uf @16 v. the replacement on his chart is 1.0 uf @ 50 v. What do I do. I know that there are some upgrades and fixes but should I continue or order another kit?

I wouldn't install anything with that much of diff. Seems like the wrong kit for your monitor. You need to confirm monitor make and model and size. Sanyo does make a 13 and 14 inch.

Here are the two different kits for comparison

After looking at that 20" kit it looks to be missing some caps. quite a few actually.
I can't find my normal list, hopefully someone will post a better example.

Hope that helps,
Greg

100 uf @ 16v c211
220 uf @ 16v c161,c202
47uf @ 16v c208
4.7 uf @ 25v c162,c206, c408
1.0uf @50v c166, c207, c453,c455,c458
100uf @ 50v c457,c610
10uf @160v/250v c471
100uf @160v c462
4.7uf @ 160v c406

Is this a real cap kit or is it just a bunch of garbage. Again this is my very first cap kit and I do not want to mess it up. I am nurvous about the reconstruction and I want to get it together befor my memory waynes to nothing.

It looks correct, it's missing a few but not all cap kits come with all the caps. If you got it from Bob Roberts it's correct but his usually come with all or most of the caps.
