Okay so whats everybody's opinion on this? When reading about restorations I always hear about Wico joysticks and it seems like a lot of guys really like them. or is it just desirable in order to make restorations authentic restorations?

Personally I love Sanwa Joysticks. I use Sanwa JLWs in my cabs since they are drop in replacements for US cabs without any modification. I like how they feel tight, and have a short throw and they just generally have a great feel to them. JLFs are even better but are not drop in replacements for US cabs.

I also use Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons and love them.

We talking Leafs? Leaf Joysticks > Microswitch, no matter the brand or type.

Now as for sticks like Sanwa, Seimitsu found on candy cabs...I can't stand them.
They're designed for tiny little asian hands and are far too loose, with too short of a throw. I also hate balltops, battops please, but at least the Wico balltops have a sizeable ball on them...unlike the tiny Sanwa ones.

the only wico's I've come across have been Microswitch ones. I just couldn't believe anybody would want to keep those in a cab. I'm gonna be honest and I hope nobody gets mad but I Just chucked those Wico's in the garbage LOL
