Does anyone have a manual, or happen to know what to replace to fix vertical collapse on this monitor. There doesn't seem to be much info on this monitor out there.

Thanks,
Paul

Bump. Anyone know anything about these monitors? Thanks

Did you check the vertical ic is soldered in good or voltages
to it,one way to tell if its a vertical ic look up the generic number
on it..If its a TDA8172 check a datasheet.
for the pinouts and what type of ic it is..try replacing it and all the electrolytic's
in that area. Can't always depend on a schematic,i haven't found one yet.I
think its a copyright thing with them.I just made up a cap kit and test points to check
from repairing a few, that just needed a cap kit.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going to try to get out there tonight to check it out.

Thanks,
Paul

Did you make any progress on this yet. I just pulled a chassis with the same problem.

What have you check?
A friend sent me the schematic,I can send it to you
if you need it, just PM me with your e-mail.
It could have a bad connections..Look it over let us know

Schematic would be great. I didn't look at it yet. I have a a new vertical IC (LA7832) on the way. I'm going to replace the IC, recap and go over the solder joints. C305 next to the IC is starting to bulge. Should be a EZ fix.

I need to buy a new LA7832. Bob Roberts didn't carry it, so I am looking for a non ebay source. I have a cap kit now.

I installed the IC, Recapped and went over a few solder joints and mine is now fully working.

I just finished mine about 10 minutes ago. IC and cap kit. It works great now as well.

I found an IC locally. It is NTE1773, and says it replaces ECG1773. I had him cross reference the LA7832, and he found this. It was $5, but I would have payed that in shipping anyway, so I was happy to pay it and walk out with it.

Thanks for the help everyone, and Debbie, thanks for the manual! That helped tremendously with the cap kit since not all of my caps were the right ones.
