I have a Tekken 5 dedicated cabinet, and has a Sanwa 29FP31 Flat screen CRT (31k only I believe) well finally got round to messing with the cabinet, works great with Tekken5, lovely sharp picture, its nice! hooked up an Atomiswave to it via the VGA port (and set the dip accordingly) and again had a really nice picture, go to hook up a Naomi via the same cable (set to 31k) and it wont sync at all, just a rolling picture, I have my Naomi hooked up to my Samsung Plasma and its fine, great picture so I know its not the Naomi hardware

Same thing happens if I hook up a PC via the same VGA cable in the Tekken, seems like its not syncing to both the naomi or the PC, I have searched for a manual with no luck, wondered if its set to comp sync or seperate sync? has anyone had this problem or can shed some light on it? thanks

okay all fixed, friend came over and looked at it, and I guess Namco decided to remove comp sync and only have Vertical Sync? so any other board pretty much wont sync to this cabinet, or something like that, anyway he added a wire to the VGA harness to make Comp sync and works great now :)

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm having the same issue. I assume your friend added in the horizontal sync to the monitor, but where... I have a 12 pin connector with this pinout:

Sanwa Model 29PF31-B
Monitor Pinout
12 FGnd AC DEM B 3
11 N.C. AC GND G 2
10 N.C. Dem Sync R 1

I've tried coupling the vsync and hsync into pin 2, but no joy.

Thanks.
