This monitor is in a TC3. The picture quality after some adjustments and a quick rejuv of the guns looks just like the other one next to it. But the gun on this side doesn't respond the same. I swapped the guns and the problem remains. I can initialize the guns and fire at the test screen for a long time. About 1 in 10 shots says its off screen. Worse when rapid fire.
When playing the game it works great until the same point in the game where you are in a trench. At that point the gun stops working. I was thinking that perhaps the contrast of the monitor is weak. I recall the bright flash is needed for the gun to see it and maybe the scenery of this area it colored such that the weak contrast doesn't provide enough signal to the guns. But its just a theory. Like I said the monitors look very similar on screen.
The CRT rejuv I use is a Sencore CR70 and there is a button to press that reduces heater voltage and this simulates expected gun life. All three drop like a rock. This makes me think the tube is the problem here in that it cant respond quickly enough with the required flash. But I am just theorizing.
The caps look fine and from what I have read here there are very reliable monitors.
Has anyone seen anything like this before and have a suggestion I can try?
