so, on my multi williams cabinet, when i initially painted it, i used a rustoleum oil based semigloss black. it was cold out, and i didn't let the paint sufficiently dry for a long time. i think i did the second coat after about 4-5 hours of letting it sit. anyways, i used a foam roller and the paint ended up drying but on the sides of the cab, i have a bunch of tiny little rough spots that look like the paint bubbled or dried wrong.
anyways, i was wondering, is there any way that i can sand this out without having to paint again over it? i was planning on using steel wool or some finer grit sandpaper to smooth out the rough spots in the paint, but was wondering how to proceed and what grits to use to get the finish looking good.
or, is it just better to sand it down and repaint it properly?
basically, i tried using some steel wool earlier, which worked (i didn't try it a ton) but left a gray looking dulling of the paint. just needing to know what to use to buff/sand to get a nice looking black color back out of it.
