just wondering if this http://www.lowes.com/pd_122301-353-7492-01_4294857497_4294937087?productId=3089977&pl=1&currentURL=/pl_Grinders%2BPolishers%2Band%2BSanders_4294857497_4294937087_?rpp=30$No=30 would be good enough to sand down my midway cab sorry for the link not being clickable

I would imagine it would work fine but the ad doesn't seem to mention or show a rating for how powerful it is. I use a similar version by porter cable that is the same size and type of sander. I think it's about $10-20 more. I have no experience with that brand or exact model of sander though.

Just make sure you don't skimp on the sanding discs. The nicest random-orbit sander in the world is still going to give you swirls and gouges if you use cheap paper.

I also have the PC version and it has worked fine for me, one thing I do to cut down on mess is to hook my shop vac up to the sander. Make sure you buy plenty of discs for that beast.

Nice. DeWalt stuff is usually great as far as bang for the buck. That looks like a good one. DA/random orbit is awesome, mine is not..mine is just a jitterbug. You should be happy with that.

Why buy a random and not a variable speed sander?
