What is a good medium for sandblasting coin doors, CP's and marquee holders? I picked up my first cabinet and some glass beads.

I buy the silicon carbide from Harbor Freight. It's aggressive but leaves a nice surface that's ready for primer. Generally with coin doors and control panels, you're dealing with an accumulation of paint or powder coat, so you need something that's going to cut through that.

Which Silicone carbide will cut through it right?

Yes, it takes it off like you're spraying silver paint which is an illusion, since it's the base metal showing through. I just checked the Harbor Freight site, and don't see it listed, maybe it's only available in the store. It's packaged in a white cardboard box with a plastic liner.

Sweet! I appreciate the help. I bought a box of glass beads from there and they had a box of the Silicone Carbide there. Ill go pick it up.

I use aluminum oxide.. with the right pressure it cuts through paint
and rust easily. I havent had a need yet to try anything else.
