So I am not sure if this is a Rush issue or monitor issue, so for now I'm posting it in the normal technical forum

I purchased 2 of these cabinets and had to take them apart to get them into my basement. In my garage I tested them both out and they appeared to be working fine.

By "taking them apart" I meant I took the marquee off, took the monitor off, took the steering wheel off, and the seat off.

I just finished putting them both back together and both actually had issues. The first one ended up being a loose video card so that one is working fine now.

However my other one, when I first booted it on, in the test screen it seemed pretty shaky. Almost like it was bobbling up and down a little bit very randomly. So I went to grab the remote board to mess with the controls on there, and it seemed like almost when I touched it the screen collapsed into very narrow. And then I could adjust it somewhat and it would go back to normal size, but then it went back to the really narrow mode again. I also noticed the size knob appears to be doing nothing.

And now it is stuck in this very narrow screen.

I have included a link to a youtube video I took showing the problem.

If anyone knows what the problem is or where I can look that would be fantastic. I was very careful with the monitor when I transported it so I'd be very surprised if I damaged it somehow. I just took it out with the frame and sat it down on a the back of the cabinet on the wood panel, and it sat there until I put it back in.

Thanks.

monitor model would be useful.

if it's a Neotec they have multiple plugs that run to their remotes and you may have popped out the one that controls the vertical adjustments. if it's Neotec and they're all plugged in try wiggling them around to see if it comes and goes. if so the pins on the remote board probably need to be resoldered. otherwise maybe there's a break in the wiring at the deflection board side.

Thanks mecha.

I just checked and they are both NT-2702 models which I assume is Neotec and after a google search it appears so.

Since they are both the identical monitor, can I swap the remote boards and see if that makes any difference with adjustments?

I definitely notice that the back of the remote board on the one that is messed up looks a lot more "worn" than the one that works fine. It has like a very faint coating of white stuff and just looks older, whereas the one that works fine looks nearly brand new.

Before swapping remote boards though, I will definitely check the connections and try wiggling them and seeing if that fixes anything. Thanks.

Okay quick update that looks to be good news.

When I push "up" on the size knob, the screen looks fine as long as I'm holding it up with tension. As soon as I let go, it goes back to normal.

I just made a quick video to show what I mean by pushing "up" on the size knob. So I'm thinking that it's a solder joint that is just kinda loose, and when I press up on it, it's making the connection.

I have to head out in a minute so I won't be able to mess with it until later. I hope just putting some solder on those parts solves the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the connections to the chassis (as good as I could) and it felt fine, then just messed with it a bit more and noticed this.
