This monitor was in a Zaxxon I picked up recently. The HOT is completely missing, and the flyback is cracked. Is this monitor even worth messing with? The only good thing it has going for it in no burn in, but I can't find a thing on it otherwise.

I got one in my Defender. mine unfortunately has scratches on the tube :(

I don't think there's anything particularly bad about these, but maybe I'm wrong. I have to cap mine, so if you want me to hunt down part #s or something I can try to get some for you later.

I don't know about replacement flybacks for them however, that might be where you get screwed on the deal.

I think the HOT part number is: 2SD900B, if you get a chance to verify it in the near future I'd appreciate it. Don't worry if you can't, because it looks like finding the fb may be near impossible.

i think i saw someone selling flybacks on ebay

Looks like you're right on the flybacks, but I don't see any that match mine. Mine has a part number trns-fb-3015, and the part number in the manual is trns-fb-3008. I can't find any specs on what these part numbers are, so this may be the dead end for this monitor.

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm going to keep searching on it for a while longer since the tube is in great shape, but it may be a lost cause. :(
