Does the Sammy Deer hunting game require the pump style optic gun, or will the .45 pistol work from similar games?

I think I saw some hackjob kits on ebay with .45s, but there's some things to note about these guns. I just pulled an Extreme Hunting kit out of a game last week, the trigger button is actually wired to the JAMMA fire button 1, not entirely sure why they did that since it has its own control board and plugs into another header anyway.

I'm not entirely sure how to do the reload though.

honestly I'd save myself the trouble and just get the actual guns. I know they're pricey, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

If I remember correctly, you can use the standard Happ (or Betson) pistols. You will need to splice the wires.
You need to change the dipswitch (I believe it is #8) to disable the pump action.

there you go, so then what, you just shoot off screen to reload?

I never dabbled with the dip switches on it, had no need to, it worked fine the way it was.

If I remember right, it just automatically reloads. When we operated these and the wing shooting we were going through the shotguns like crazy from theft and people just breaking them in half. We switched to the pistols due to cost.

Perfect! Thanks. According to the manual, you can sitch the dip settings from pump to handgun, so I assume it just shoots unlimited. My point is, I already have the pistol, and would rather not buy an expensive pump gun if its not needed.
This is just for my home game cabinet with a couple different shooters in it. This way, one simple gun works for both games.

exact reason I traded the Extreme Hunting kit out. wasn't so much from breakage, but because the little kids acted like assholes with the guns acting like they were toys. surprisingly I only went through 1 optic board, the little-little kids were the worst cause they'd literally pick the guns up and drop them directly on the floor.

now I got Happ .45s and Johnny Nero!
