My question is :what is the process of checking a g07-cbo Is there a guide or post somewhere for checking the different parts from a-z.

thanks allen

Ok I guess I didn't ask the right question before using the search tab.
I found a bunch of info that should give me a place to start.

So if you posted help in the past 6 months.
I THANK YOU 2 that stand out Dave and Mod

Dave can be first. You really don't want to stand in FRONT of a Navy guy.... ;)

I start buy googling "XXX flowchart." You will usaully find something on these older games that way.

Not being a "search fu" dick BTW. Just letting you know what I do.

No matter what chassis I get in, I always go over it in the following order (unless I get specific info ahead of time):

Fuses -> Caps -> HOT -> VR -> Solder Joints/Cracks -> Common issues with that model that I am aware of -> Flyback -> Neckboard -> Inspection for anything else

Once I've gone through all of that and fixed anything that needs it, then I'll try powering it up and see what happens.

On a recent "dead" K7000 I received, I quickly found:

blown fuse
old caps
shorted HOT
shorted VR
broken pad from trace
shorted horizontal width cap
bad flyback (verified with ring tester)

Once I fixed all of that, it came up perfect....
