Ok so a few months back there is a craigslist listing for several arcade games many of them I would be interested in like Tempest (he claims is in really good condition) Pac-man Ms. Pac-man Missile Command Asteroids a about 12 in total but some I would not want. Anyways long story short we exchanged emails a few times then I got his phone # and called him up. He was surprised that i knew so much about arcade games and he also said he used to service them in the area. He seemed ok on the phone but lives 80 miles away and I have a old worn out truck and didnt want to make the trip if he wanted gold for everything. I asked for some pictures of what he had and he never got around to it. I kept emailing him and said to the effect well I could come down on friday and check them out and he never got back to me I also found out his suposed pacman and ms pacman were actually Mr. Do's with some kind of multi board and not original machines. This went on for several emails and I tried calling him and it was like he didn't want to sell anything and he never got back to me after finding out I knew what things were worth and that I was pretty familiar with arcade machines in general. I tried to pin him down on a price and he would dance around the question. He claims his wife says they have to go but he prob doesn't want to sell and or I think this guy either wants to sell them all which I do not have room for (small crappy apartment on the 3rd floor no less) and or he wants top dollar for them. Ok fast forward 3 months I post that I am looking for arcade machines on craigslist and guess who replies but this same douche. I am using a different email address (diff name to as its one I use to prevent spam) and I doubt the remembers my cell phone number (but he might I could always star 67 to block) I am thinking about playing this off like I am a different guy and seeing if I can get me a deal. Any suggestions? I wonder if I should just bite the bullet show up there with cash in hand and see what I can get done after all cash is king right at least thats what Dave Ramsey says.
Why do people have to be so tough to deal with doesn't anyone know how to conduct business these days? I mean good hell in this economy if someone wants to buy and your wife says sell whats the problem right?
