Cyber Sled went away today. Boy that game is a pain in the ass to move. I got 650 for it though, which is more than people tried to tell me I'd get. I made some friends out of it too. This group of 4 or 5 guys want to open a "barcade" in Denver, so they're picking up a bunch of games. I told them that if they ever needed something built or someone to work on theirs, I was their guy. Now I've got room for my new Neo Geo cabinet in my living room.

Cyber Sled is a great game. Two sticks and you control giant robo- oh wait, that's it's non sucky cousin Virtual On 8) Nice deal on the sale, by the way.

Hey, don't hate on Cyber Sled. It preceded Virtual On by 2 years and it was available around here, meaning I didn't spend years chasing one. ;) I picked it up for a song too. I roughly quintupled my money after I put some work into it.

Hahaha, I'll be honest, I never even played it. I just saw the chance to show off my VO fanboyness. I'm just kidding ;)

Is Cyber Sled related to Tokyo Wars (which I have played and rocks) in any way? They seem very similar in control and execution.

Yeah, I'd say they were related. Both Namco products, but it looks like they sorted out a few issues as time progressed. First, most people aren't really a fan of the "tank" style controls like CS and VO, so they went to a yoke. Next, they made that big ass marquee foldable which made CS very top heavy and hard to move around. Believe me, getting that machine into the back of a truck wasn't so much fun even with 4 guys. I should have pulled the monitors. Oh well, hind sight is 20/20. The seats still look like the same mold, and they're still not adjustable. Hardware is probably different because up to 4 TW can be linked where as CS was always a 1 on 1 battle.

wimp. I loaded and unloaded cybersled by myself...

Did I mention my truck has a liftgate...

If people want to play cybersled, I can take one to CAX. Its working, My plans were to part it out, but it can live a few more weeks.. I just don't want to take it to the show if there is no interest.
