I need to clean the two-way mirror on a 280 ZZZAP as part of the restoration I am doing on that game. Have everything running well but the two-way mirror definitely needs to be cleaned (along with the face of the CRT).

Before I do that I wanted to find out if there is anything I should be aware of? What kind of coating is on the two-way mirror? What cleaners are safe to use? Is windex the best choice to use for cleaning it?

I'm just concerned that if I choose the wrong cleaner that it could possibly take off some of the two-way mirroring. So, if you have recommendations on what to use and also ones to avoid please post them here!

Thank you for the suggestions. I just didn't want to assume Windex would be safe and was worried that I may end up taking off some of the mirrored coating.

I will be careful since there is the cardboard dash cutout stuck on the mirror but I should be able to get around that.

Sprayway is the best plus no ammonia
I was going to suggest the Sprayway can glass cleaner. as a fan of Windex, there's just certain applications where it's not the right way. hence why I have both at home.

an example of why Sprayway is great, I had to clean a coffee spill on my living room carpet earlier in the day. Windex was ineffective strangely, so I used Sprayway with a toothbrush when I got home and that apparently worked. LOL
