SA STL roll call for this Tuesday....

It was great to meet some of you guys, RedWolfJC, caldwert and a few others I don't recall your KLOV names but you know who you are. A big, big thanks to GORDONFAN for hauling my Crazy Taxi home.
+1, great seeing/meeting all of you guys.
That was a smoking deal on that Crazy Taxi.
wanted to add more big thanks to Gordonfan/Glennon for helping lift those cigarette machines up onto that cart, those things weighed a ton.

I picked up one of the 280Zzzap's for $20, and my Brother in law picked up those Cig machines to scrap, but now he's thinking about keeping the nicer one LOL!

the projects are of interest to me!

im thinking well see some in oct, just wanted an idea of what to expect

someone have any info?

Man I'm pissed I missed this one!!. My buddy got the Chicago coin game (one of my grails). I'll have to con it away from him somehow.
Are you talking about the Speedway EM? I've passed on three of those in the last year as well as the motorcycle model also.

The one cig machine was pretty nice and it probably had a $100 of cigs in it. By the way how much change did you find in it?

Glennon

And the 2 drivers picked up by myself and fellow collector.

Who needs just an "Atari" driving row when you can also have Sega? Thats a nice score for that price.

The nice one had about 12 packs of cigarettes in it, not sure if there is any cash in it or not, it's locked up and I haven't had a chance to drill the lock yet. The junk one just had some loose change in the bottom, few nickles and dimes nothing much.
But yeah, we got more than our $20 we paid for those in cigarettes, provided someone doesn't care about smoking stale cigs :)

be happy you guys didnt have to wait until the end, i didnt get out of there until 145 am, which really sucks when you have a 3 hour drive.

Yeah, I was the last in line and last to leave.....2:45am. Unbelievable. But well worth it - there were some real steals in there. Wish I had brought 2 trucks.

The Pinbot that sold for about 675 (plus premium) was the cleanest, nicest one I've seen in 15 years.

Not all the pins were cheap. I got a Nitro groundshaker missing MPU, SDB, backglass and some displays, plus the playfield had been stripped underneath - $287.50. But still worth it based on the cabinet and playfleld condition. They ran a poor kid up to $175 on a stripped Gottlieb Totem. Poor kid. They stated several times during the auction "We'll never let you bid against yourself at SuperAuctions". Yeah, right. I've seen them do it countless times. Whenever they can tell someone really wants something and is a newbee, they let the poor sucker bid against himself endlessly.

I feel for you, I had a 1 hour drive and didn't get to bed until 2:30AM. I was shredded. What was up with that checkout guy, he is the slowest one they ever had. That one woman with super auctions used to always get the line moving pretty good.
