Guys,

the 9200 in my Rush the Rock keeps losing sync. as you all know, it's a tri-mode monitor that auto syncs when the thing is powered up. Well, every time there is a blank screen on the Rush (like between game and attract mode, or just between parts of the attract mode) the monitor thinks the signal has been removed and it starts searching for sync. And sometimes it locks in at the wrong sync. Then 30 minutes later it might correct itself.

Very frustrating.

Is there some way to just tell the thing "STAY IN MEDIUM RES MODE, BONEHEAD" so it stops searching for sync?

Any help greatly appreciated!
John

Try resetting it. IIRC, hold DOWN and SEL on the remote board until a menu comes up, then select "RE" and hold SEL until the counter reaches zero. Then re-adjust the monitor.

We have the same monitor in our 2049s so if you need to cross-reference anything to a working chassis, let me know.

If the reset doesn't do it and
If all your caps are good, try checking
Q415 or Q416 May run hot, within a minute or two.
The heatsink's should just be warm, not Hot.
May notice over heating around the pins, the Mosfet's
becomes leaky, I just replace the MOsfet and the Switch
Q429 and Q428.Depending which one was failing at the time.
