Guess what guys... it appears I managed to break the neck off the tube in the Rush The Rock I just picked up. (*&$^ing YAY!)

There is no MODEL or TYPE on the tube.

It says it's a Sony Trinitron tube.

I have no idea if it's EGA or VGA.

The chassis is a Sharp Image chassis.

The manual I have is for the Rush The Rock Alcatraz Edition Conversion Kit... it shows the old style cab but says it's a 28" monitor in it?!?

My understanding is that it has a 25" though it looks like it could be 27"... never heard of a 28"?!

It IS the stock monitor. It has both a Dynamo serial number on the chassis and tube that match and a Midway tag on the frame.

SO... is it a 25" or 27"? Does anyone know the tube model/type number? Does anyone have one for sale (tube or whole monitor)?

27". I have to wonder if you have an SI-629 like mine has. I fucked up my chassis and cant find out whats wrong with it.

Wanna sell the tube?

...or if I end up with another whole monitor I'd sell you the chassis (if it's the same... which is likely I am guessing).

Do you know if it's EGA or VGA?

Wouldnt ship it, plus I'd like to get the game going again. I have a somewhat alive D9200 but the yoke is busted and the video card needs help. If I could get one of these going I would part with the other.

Not sure what you mean by EGA or VGA. I do know my chassis is switchable from 15k to 25k. Game runs on 25k and uses a standard 6-pin video connector.

Sounds like my chassis.

If I get a whole other monitor I'll let you know the chassis is available.

BTW, my tube has an RCA badge on it. I'm pretty sure it's not the original monitor, maybe I'm wrong? The game once had a Wells Gardner service manual inside and a neckboard cover from a Neotec, so who knows? I'm on the hunt for schematics.

I have a rush with a 27". my tube says zenith.. neotec nt2701 chassis

I JUST got my chassis today after like 2 months that felt like a life time, I played rush today for the first time in my house and lemme say, theres nothing like gtting a game going that has been sitting for a while waiting for parts..

I had a Rush the Rock w/ a bad tube... I did a tube swap from a 27" TV without too much trouble.

I have a neotec chassis that recently bit the dust, only thing it desist chirp. While I have it ripped out I might as well replace the flyback, neotec monitors are known for garbage flybacks that drift.

To answer your question, it's EGA.

I wish you were closer Friz, I have a the RCA version of the tube but no chassis sitting in my garage for a 2701.

I couldn't find a chassis for sale for mine so I ended up driving up to Wells Gardner and picking up a 27" Tri-sync monitor.

It's a 27" Sony Trinitron monitor tube... would you think I could pick up just about any 27" Sony Trinitron and it would work? Do they have different model number 27" Trinitron tubes? I ask as I can not find a single identifying number other than SONY TRINITRON on the tube itself... there is a Dynamo Serial # but it matches the same one on the chassis so I figure that's Dynamo (the cab manufacturer)'s number rather than the tube number (obviously).

This would be BY FAR the cheapest route as I just pulled a CL search and there is a 27" Sony Trinitron Flat Screen CRT TV for $45.

Not willing to pack/ship I assume?

I certainly understand

I'm not sure... I've never seen one w/ a Sony tube. Usually most tubes are pretty common EXCEPT Sony... mine had a Zenith tube. Is the broken tube a flat screen CRT?

Here are some crappy photos of the monitor. Can anyone positively ID the chassis and/or help with the tube "type" i am supposed to look for?
