Rush The Rock Marquee Replacement - Gameongrafix.com

My Rush the Rock marquee had more than one tear in it so it needed to be replaced... there isn't much option out there... so I decided to go with an inkjet reproduction from gameongrafix.com...

I've done many projects with Scott... and have been a varying degree of happy with each one of them (from exuberant to happy)... this is one of those "happy" times...

I've never once had an issue with the quality of the print from Scott... and this is another case of good quality... good product (the material used for their ultimate marquee is just kickass)... but a bit off on color.

If this were one of my anal classic restorations I'd have likely asked Scott to re-print for me... and I am sure he would have (he has in the past for one project)... but since the color difference isn't all that important to me for this game, I'm simply "happy" with the end product. It sure looks better than the tore to hell original.

Scott is always open to suggestions as well and has implemented suggestions given to him in the past. I'm going to shoot him an email and let him know his marquee should be color corrected a tad... so this issue may be moot in the future.

Also of note is the marquee comes in the shape of a rectangle with squared corners. You will need to cut the rounded corners yourself... and I also used a hole punch to punch holes where the screws go... worked perfectly.

In any case, here are the pix...

Next time we'll just shove that thing off the back of the truck on our way back to the Hyatt. Talk about more trouble than it is worth, sheesh... :D;)

Yep I have one on mine, aside from the square corners, they are nice, REALLY NICE!

Might be compensaiting for the fact that its a different material and it looks different when backlit. It looks purple when the game is on.

Could also be that your original has faded some from sunlight/bulbs...

That was the first thing I thought of when I looked at the picture. It seems pretty close to what I remember RtR marquees looking like.

Damn it! Now you are going to make me look at those marquees the next time I see them.

+1

Let us know if it fades in 2 years

I have marquess from Scott from 5 years ago... they look as vibrant today as they did the day I got them.... but yeah, some of the difference is likely fade on the original.

Ok, I didn't know his buisiness model because I have never ordered anything from gameongrafix.com. But I do need 2 of the RTR marqees. And that looks sweet. Prob is, I am away from home for the evening and would like to get the 2 ordered.

So Friz, or anybody else, what size is the marquee?

Thanx

I ordered 24.25 x 7 ... it left a slight overhang on the left and right which I didn't cut and it left a slight overhand on top and bottom which I didn't cut (vs the plexi that goes in front of it). If you want an identical cut to the plexi you may want to go 24.2 x 6.875... though I like the slight overhang personally.

Thank you very much Friz, the order for 2 has been placed. I have a feeling I am going to do much more shopping at that site soon!

Scott's art is A+++ , I had some left over control panel art from a mortal kombat kit and I stuck it on my windshield and it's been on for around a yr and hasn't faded at all or started to peel. Order with confidence
