Saw this on Craigslist and eBay. I've never played the game, but thought this was well done. Nice custom made side art.

From the artists:
"This project was our baby, back when we thought we had all the time in the world to buy arcade games and not just restore them, but redesign them. We now need to clear space in our studio, and this game is the absolute last thing to go. We've held on to it as long as we could, it's time to face the music..
Now YOU have the awesome opportunity to be the one lucky duck to emerge victorious with this handsome display of our affections for the era we grew up in.
To the winner -
We hate you (love you) .. We hope you choke (enjoy it)"
~T-bone & Aljax

Wow - that is awesome sideart. Not sure I'd pony up the cash for it, but considering what they put into it, I can understand the asking price. There's one up for sale on my local CL for $150 in a Zaxxon cab.

I was not aware this is the most challenging arcade game ever! Good to know...

way overpriced for that game (even though I like the game) but the art work is pretty impressive. Kinda took it from just being a kit game to looking like a true dedicated cab.

Agreed, and agreed. That art is freaking sweet. Rush n Attack was one of the NES games I played the crap out of as a kid. My roommate in college used to play it all the time, too. Never played the arcade version. Is it the same game?

pretty much the same game but I believe the NES version allowed you a few more continues. The arcade version was near impossible with the 2 or 3 continues they gave you. Most times I wouldn't make it past the 1st level.

Jow, pretty much the same game IIRC. I haevn't played the NES version much, but I play the hell out of my arcade version pretty much daily.

Dayum, those guys need to sell just the sideart, they'd make some money. I used to love that game, but after playing it via mame recently, it gets old really quick. :(

But hell yeah, extremely well-done sideart. Impressive to say the least!

That was one of the first 2 games we bought for our NES back in the day (along with Castlevania). That art looks great.

That is impressive. Didn't know there were such hardcore fans for the game.
I know ZFcamaro is a big Rush'N Attack fan. He convinced me to do a high score save for the game. I think he and I are the only ones who have it... I may have installed another one for someone, but I'm not sure.

I was talking to you about the kit, but never heard anything back on the RAM I'd need to replace and what to replace it with. Also would need the modified rom... I could probably figure out the RAM, but would still need that rom file.

Yeah, there are some fans of the game out there (me included). It's an very challenge'ng game, and has patterns to learn... makes it very addicting as far as memorizing what to do when(like Tron, Pac-Man, etc), especially with the "bosses"... where to stand, when to shoot, when to turn (level 2's "dog boss" is a prime example).

I'd email the seller about getting just the art files, but I'd have to get another cabinet because I couldn't put that art on a good Jungle Hunt cab, which is what my RnA is in.

I told you to email me and I'd send you the ROM image and the info about the RAM location. Didn't get an email....

I must've missed the message, I'm so sorry about that. lol

I did a little hunting and I think an M48Z18-100 would probably work for the RAM if I did my math right...

Side note... "math" isn't in my spellcheck in Ubuntu. lol Shows that I didn't spell that right. Granted, my math might suck... but I know I'm not that bad at spelling.

Any way to convince you to do a Wizard of Wor HS save?

I stopped doing score saves for games I don't own.... They're just not that fun to do unless I can personally enjoy them when I'm done. Otherwise they just seem like work, and I get enough work....

I did have a WoW cabinet at one point... I gave it to Funspot probably 10+ years ago. Don't think they ever finished putting the game together, as I've never seen it on the floor there. Sideart was really nice, IIRC.

I'd pay you... and show my appreciation by, uh... I dunno... linking to your page? ;)

(i was gunna use a "Menace II Society" reference but I didn't want people who are unaware of that movie to get the wrong idea!)

:D

Rush N' Attack is one of the few games where the American Title is 100 times cooler than the Japanese title.
