Running an Oscilloscope on a Cinematronics Monitor Board
Real simple question -- I want to start tracing signals on my Cinematronics monitor board, and I don't need the CRT hooked up for that.
Can I disconnect the power/driver (heatsink) transistors as well?
In other words, can I scope the board with just the power, signal, and HV connected to the monitor PCB (disconnected yoke, heatsink transistors, and cap on tube), or will I fry something in the process?
I know you're not supposed to run the monitor with the heatsink transistors disconnected, but I was wondering if disconnecting the yoke/crt made it ok...
Thanks!
