Run of plastic parts

Speaking of hall effect sticks, I've machined x and y sliders for my own use. Nobody supplied them and I needed them for rebuilds. I'll take a photo or two in a few. City/State added.

OP - please put your location in your signature. Thanks. ;)

H-Channel (MH/FF/I,robot/ROTJ) - you should PM Troy. I thought he had to give the sample piece back to the KLOV member and was thinking of doing it in metal. I would prefer it done in plastic like the original. I'm sure he'd rather have someone else do it so he can concentrate on all the other "metal" projects.

Other - if it's plastic, there might be a need. There was some talk regarding I,Robot CPs and FireFox CPs. I'd be in for one of each. I'd also like to see Atari Hall-Effect joystick plastics made. LOL

Another member is also looking into making vert/horiz Taito black plastic bezels.

There's lots of examples ... you just need to find the need and that need likely requires a good amount of interested parties to make it a reality. :001_ssuprised:

Here's a picture of the Hall Effect parts I ran off recently. X-Sliders, Y-Sliders and Actuators. These are all machined parts, not OEM/NOS. I know that the original sliders were made of natural color nylon. I had a chunk of black Delrin handy, so that's what I used. They still work just fine. The actuators are made of white Delrin. I've been repairing a lot of these sticks lately, so my supply is starting to run low.

Did you say you could do extrusion? Or a similar process? I need several sets of Williams Cabaret marquee and bezel brackets run. There is an upper and lower piece, both are different, and I assume both were originally extruded in one continuous piece and then cut to length.

Yeah, profile extrusions are not difficult at all. Doesn't matter if it's plastic or aluminum. I don't do these myself, but I can cut the profile and send it out to fab. If there's enough interest, I'd be willing to look into it. As long as I can recoup whatever I put into it, I'm cool.

In my experience with the Hall Effect stick, it was the plunger that wore out badly.

Other small plastics that come to mind for potential repro'ing:

Food Fight joystick gimballs (inner and outer)
Food Fight joystick gimball square plate (seen here: http://arcadefixit.com/product.sc;j...73.m1plqscsfapp05?productId=783&categoryId=27)

Williams Blaster joystick handles (Left and right halves).

Do you sell the Hall Effect slider pieces you made and if so, how much? :)

What I've seen is a lot of tweaked plungers, pivot balls and actuators. And the 8SSAE1/UGN3503 hall effect components are usually either missing or failing.

I've been looking at a FF/RB gimbal replacement solution for awhile now. In fact, for all of the parts. Did you see Stephens gimbal stick rebuild kit on ebay? Whoa momma! LOL I was thinking that I could make gimbals out of all aluminum plus some alloy or ss hardware to attach it together. I'm into making clean parts, so it would look nice. Definitely not oem, but an improvement perhaps? The square plate would be easy. In fact, I think the entire stick is comprised of parts which aren't what I would call difficult. The entire design is in dire need of improvement, though. I've been meaning to work on the gimbals but haven't gotten around to it. I'm chunking out some 720 parts at the moment for a small number of new builds. I'll see if I can slip in some prototyping work in between everything else.

I don't know about the Blaster handles. I don't think I've ever actually seen one. Are they just a couple of shell pieces, like used on Battlezone/Red Baron? Are they used on anything else?

Send me a PM on the slider parts.

Alright, here's what's going on as far as parts go:

Logo stick plunger: Just ran off a batch of them TODAY.
Logo stick pivot ball: Just ran off a batch of them TODAY.
Other random 720 parts (metal parts too): Running them right now.
Logo stick upper housing: Cutting mold, going to run them this week.
720/Hall-Effect stick lower housing: Cutting mold, going to run them this week.
Logo stick lower housing: Interest is somewhat low. Machining a few of them.
720 full controller build: Waiting on above parts. Give me a week to see where I'm at on it.
Food Fight/Red Baron/Tunnel Hunt Gimbals: Interest list, looks like I'm going to run them.
FF/RB/TH/BZ Centering grommet/bellows: Looking at prototyping this one ASAP.

H-Channel: Someone else is doing this.
Wico/MadPlanets Spinner: Someone else is doing this.

Alright, here's the latest as of 2:46PM
