Rubbers, get yer rubbers...

Beware of some those kits on ebay! Some of them are not complete! I get mine from Steve @ Pinball Resource and Terry @ Pinball Life...

I buy rubber rings and many other arcade parts from Competitive Products Corp., competitiveproducts.com. They sell bulk, not kits, and have a $50 minimum order. Most customers are operators, tell them you are a serious collector/restorer. My sales rep is Mike Paziora.

My bad.. I forgot pinballlife! Terry is top notch.
I've never dealt with competitive products, but have heard good things about them too.

cheers

Pinball Life.

However, after buying a few kits from many different vendors, I've started buying common sizes and figuring out any different pieces that are needed for each specific pin. It seems like there is always something a little different and I've ended up with enough extra rubber that having an inventory and piecing together what is needed is cheaper and maybe even easier.

But if you have one machine and only need rubber for it, a kit is quick and easy.

Agreed. On a related note, has anyone found 1/4" rubber post rings? Ran into problems with a DE game (LAH). The 2-part post rubbers (short sleeve and ring on top) indicate a 5/16" ring in the manual, but I ordered some from pinballlife and they are too large. 3/16" rings are too small. I checked Bay Area Amusements, and their 3/16" rings are listed as being 15/64", which is actually closer to 1/4" and might work. Was wondering if anyone else ran into this issue with DE games.

Pinball Life has a "tub o' rubber" they sell. It's a plastic container stuffed to the gills with various common rubber sizes and post protectors, including 6 flipper rubbers in your choice of colors. $25 or so. You can probably do 2-3 full games and still have some spares left over.

Best way to go for a collector with multiple machines.
