Hi all,

I'm very new to pinballs, so bare with me please.

My WWF was working fine, now when I start a game (on free play) the machine shakes (like it's surposed to) but wont eject a ball to start the game.

I'm at a loss.

All connections look fine...... .

I'm fairly confident with a DMM

Don't have a manual.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I've never worked on this particular game but general things to try:
Take off the apron and check things out with the kicker. Broken wires?

Any other solenoids on the playfield not working?

Have you checked the fuses?

Is there a ball missing?

does the kicker work in test mode?

You should be able to get the manual at IPDB.com

I would save the manual to your machine and then read it. Once you learn how to get into the test mode the first thing I would do is run the coil test and see if the ball kick out coil is firing. If not then we can go from there.

Do like everyone has suggested, but also try to adjust the switches in the area that kicks the ball into play. The coil may fire in test mode, but if the switch is broken or not adjusted right the game does not know that it needs to fire the coil. You might just need to bend the switch out / up to get it to recognize the ball. I have a LAH that needs adjusting frequently on the back right VUK to get it to sense the ball. After bending it, it recognizes the ball and acts normally. I probably should just replace it, but bending it usually works for quite some time. Good luck and let us know what it was.

Thanks everyone.

Have downloaded manual.

No coils work in test mode.

6 brand new balls installed.

No broken wires.

Previous owner (operator) had do a hack to the power supply board, the 6.3 Volts AC (non fused) was hard solder to the board (the pins had been removed). Looks like there has been quite a bit of heat there...hence the hack/mod.

On removing the board, the wires fell off......I guess this could be the problem.

I tried soldering them directly to the 6.3VAC...that didn't work, then tried scraping back some of the Green "mask" on the PCB, where the pins used to be, and solder to that...still no go.

The 6.3VAC controls Backbox door (brown wire), Playfield + cabinet (yellow wire), Speaker panel backbox door (green wire) & playfield (violet wire).

Could I have done damage to the something else by connecting directly to the 6.3VAC?

Hope I've explained this OK.

Thanks for all your advise.
