Yeah.. probably not what you were thinking but..

The Company I work for is supplying PCs for Innovative Concepts in Entertainment for some of their games. I actually did the development work on the Embedded OS that runs their game software.

So today I got to visit their manufacturing plant which is right down the road from my office.

It's definitely not like the glory days but, it was pretty cool to see rows and rows of games being manufactured

Didn't meet Eli...turn out the guy that I was working with owned Fastronics. I bought a game from him probably 15 years ago but I have no idea which one it was

Then he goes on to tell me he GAVE away his Star Wars Cockpit, Tempest, Black Widow, Star Castle and a few other titles.

Small world!

I didn't realize that ICE was in Buffalo! Looks like the Robin Hood game is the closest to a real video game. Everything else is redemption and prizes:

I worked with Namco for four years and there were many ICE machines at our location. The only straight-up real video game (non-redemption) I ever saw from them was a way heavier-than-necessary Johnny Nero Action Hero. Their Deal or No Deal always brought in the $$, but screw ticket games.

It was pretty amazing to walk through their shop. They do darn near everything in house.

They manufacture all their boards for game that still use them (Ice Ball and Chexx comes to mind)

They make all their cabs in the wood shop.

They have a a completely metal fabrication shop

To bad almost all their stuff is redemptions
