I have a Rowe MM6 that I inherited. I finally got into the cabinet to see why it is not working. I dont think it is too bad of shape as it kind of plays. The problem I am seeing is it doenst seem to know when the record is done playing. It seems to just keep on spinning. It also sounds very muffled when playing the record and seems to run through the record to quick. I know this seems like a lot to put into one thread but I am hoping that it is all related.

Any help would be appreciated.

Update

I did just notice that the turntable is viabrating which seems to be why the sound is distorted. If I reply a small amount of pressure on the table it sounds great. It still doesnt seem to know when the record is done playing though.

Perform the end of record "cancel switch" adjustment as shown in the adjustment section of your service manual set.

Hello,

It would seem that you have a number of small problems on this jukebox.
With regards to the above problem, the vibrating of the turntable.
More than likely the jukebox will have been stood unused for a period of time.
Remove the turntable and check the idler wheel (the rubber edged wheel that drives the turntable) to see if a dint is on the edge of the wheel (this will have been caused by the pressure of the wheel against the motor shaft over a period of time)
While you have the turntable off check the 3 grommets that hold the the turntable in place, you may need to replace these. You will need to lubricate the idlerwheel linkage and the turntable motor with one drop of oil as per your manual also place a film of oil (minute amount) on the turntable shaft .

If you still have rumbling on the turntable check the motor shaft for wear and also check that the tighdown bolts for the mechanism are loose so that mechanism is loose on the springs and rubber feet.

Ken is correct re your issues with the end of play cut off. You need to adjust the reed switch which is on a sliding bolt arangement, check in your manual on how to do this.

Parts and manuals are availible from www.victoryglass.com also you get some from www.happ.com
