i have a friend that just picked up this rowe laserstar encore cd phonograph for his man cave. Wheh he purchased it, everything worked great. He loaded it in his vehicle and put it on the back side for transport. Got it home and took it across the bumpy pavement into the house. And now it says when powered on is out of order error. Is there something easy to check to get it going? What should he look for? This is the only information that I currently have about the unit. Thanks everyone
Okay. When you say he put it on the back side, do you mean he laid the unit down on it's back?
I wouldn't have done that, and definitely not run it across a bumpy surface. Those CD players aren't made for rough service.
I would try the factory reset (after making sure all the CDs are back in the carousel and nothing is a free body in the unit.)
Just like arcade games, there are things you have to do when transporting juke boxes. If it has a transit screw, you have to put that in (it keeps the CD / record player from bouncing around). You don't lay them down - you rent the right truck to transport them in an upright condition.
Post some pictures.
At this point, I'd suggest the following:
1. Get a manual.

2. Once you have the manual, pull the error codes.
3. Use the manual to troubleshoot the error codes.
If you get stuck, post the results here.
You may be able to reset the error codes, but you should know what they are before you reset them,
