I was looking at a CTI-1SC today, and after powerup the carousel spins and stops at 27. I enter a selection and it starts spinning again but passes the selection slot and continues to spin. During this, the display scrolls through the numbers till it reaches the selection then displays the selection number and says "playing", all the while the carousel keeps spinning until I cycle the power again.

Next steps?

Is there some calibration needed?

Sorry, don't know. We never had any of that model on our route. In fact, I don't think any of the local game operators here in my area even bought that model. I've never even seen that model.

Hello,

The CTI-1SC jukebox is the same as the other Rowe Ami 1200 mechanisms used in the R-80S through to the R-83.

The problem may be down to dry joints (cold joints USA) in the following boards:-
Memory Unit
Mechanism Control Unit
Selector Logic Unit

I think you say that the display is counting down correctly, this would indicate that the memory unit is ok, you could try adjusting the variable capacitor C705 (5.1 to 50 pfd).

I would check that the Detent solenoid and the switch is working correctly, it maybe wise to clean the printed circuit board on the Encoder (use a pencil rubber/erazer, then a lint free cloth) the bottom two wipers on the encoder are prone to wear out, so check these.

Please let us know how you get on.
