For the most part these things are bullet proof .... I have one that ocassionally gives incorrect change sometimes not enough and others too much ...... No error codes and bulbs on counters were recently changed ..... What causes this ??? I'm not there to see it, it's out at a remote location but wanna be prepared when I go...... Only thing I can think is hopper flapper isn't directing them to the correct bucket ...

You didn't even tell us what model this Rowe is yet. this matters too!

If it's the more common BC-25 model, then everything inside it makes it super easy to test and diagnose all hoppers!

Have you never seen the test switches before on the power control center panel??? it's the 3 buttons on the right...

What about the computer control center? all kinds of fun switches to turn on and off and this and that.

plus on the computer control center, it literally tells you step by step how to troubleshoot the amount of coins being dispensed...

the ccc for the bc35 or bc12 is a bit different, but the jist of it is exactly the same.

It's a 12 or 35 I forget which that was converted with the upgrade kit for a Mars stacker essentially now making it function as a 3500
This machine gets used hard ...... It goes through 3-400$ a week sometimes very rarely gives probs ..... With that being 160 miles away from me it's hard to diagnose with out being there I'm going off what my location tells me and then try to take what I need when I go to Serv it .... The bulbs were changed ...... As far as the opto sensors I will change all 3 when I am there does anyone know the part no for the replacement optos ?? Besides that I thin. I may have a diverter issue possibly loading the incorrect bucket I do faintly remember one doing something similar I don't remember what exact part was causing it ... I can change the bulbs again when I am there too and make sure they are bright or put leds in ..... I have leds in another changed with no issues ......

the coin dispenser portion has flaps that go back and forth and refill as needed. if I recall they're divided by like dollar, 5 dollars, and 10 dollar increments, but I could be wrong. I might even still have one of the manuals in storage.

it's been several years since I've worked on these and they're a very distant memory now that I have no more to fix. I miss them. but the flaps tend to rust and won't click back and forth as they should. you should oil them and flip them back and forth by hand to work them out.

my grandparents place had the fancy ones with the digital displays. they were cool. BC-1400 and BC-3500s.

if you don't have the brush to clean the tracks on the hoppers I encourage you buy one from whoever still sells them. otherwise there's instructions in the manuals for how to take the hoppers apart and you can clean them. as they get dirty what happens is the coins will fall off the tracks, making it take 10 years to reload the escrow.

the Rowe International site only has manuals for the newer ones. I don't know if I kept the one from the old BC-12 we had or not. :(

escrow solenoid plungers probably gunked up and sticking, not fully closing fast enough.

I didn't get up there yet but from talking to them on the phone that's what it is .... Quarters are backed up in the rail.... Diverter is sticking
Lil aero kroil will fix that

I was up there and found coins backed up in the rail... The way it was set up was it was using the center bucket for $5 and the right bucket for $1...... What I believe was happening is if all 20 coins didn't stack perfect in that center bucket which is small it would not let the flapper close fully causing a backup of coins .... I reversed the 2 buckets ..: seems ok ... We will see ... Also switched the 755s to LEDs or my luck I'll be back next week for a bulb out
