I'm sure I did something to cause this, but I don't know what. I removed the title rack to get at the mech computer when that failed. I eventually bought a replacement mech computer (months later), which fixed the initial issue. However, once I put the title rack back into place and plugged in what I have assumed is the only connector, the pages don't advance when I push that button. I can hear something trying to do something for a few seconds when I push the button, but nothing moves.

I also cannot advance the page using the handwheel on the shaft (I don't know if I should be able to do that or not, but it is frozen).

Any insight would be appreciated.

I can go get some pics of how mine's connected if you need.

I've never tried to manually cycle the pages with that wheel. I'm afraid of breaking things.

Thanks, but I'm now even more convinced that I hooked it back up correctly (since there is only one molex type connector). What I'm now curious is if I "should" be able to advance the pages manually using that hand wheel. The manual is a bit scant on the topic, but there is a warning label on the title rack itself that states, "Do not turn pages by hand. Use title page switch or hand wheel" to advance the pages.

If I should be able to advance the pages using that hand wheel, then something is definitely locked up in my case because it won't budge.

The handwheel should allow you to manually move the pages. When I use the handwheel I help a little by moving the title page with the other hand. But do not force it.

Sounds like you have a stripped gear in the title page gearbox. This is a very common failure and does not cost much to repair but can be tricky. When you take it apart check for damaged title pages also which seems to happen when there is a stripped gear.
