I have a CD100D with a weird title rack issue. All the pages will turn to one side, let's say to the beginning, and then the advance buttons do not work. If I open the door, and try to use the switch on the left side, it still will not work. If I rotate the title rack with the wheel on the back, I can then move the pages with either buttons for a few minutes, then it's back to the same issue.
I replaced the motor and switches on the title rack. I made sure the switches on the rack were adjusted correctly. Same problem.
Next I checked all the plugs and connections at the CCC, title rack interface module, power supply, and keyboard. I cycled power and after about 30 seconds, the title rack was unresponsive and finally all the pages went to one side and locked up. The title rack interface had both led lights lit.
I replaced the title rack interface pcb. The old one had a pcb at Rev. A. The spare had a pcb at Rev. B. Same problem, no change.
Out of desperation, I swapped the CCC. Error codes on the CCC were 14-06 (backup battery) and a 05-63 (communication with mech). After replacing the CCC and doing a full initialize, all worked well.
So.......what part (chip, resistor, diode, etc..) on the CCC could be causing this issue?
Thanks,
Clay
