Hello-

I'm a noob to the forum.

Last couple days- it's grabbing the wrong CD. If I ask it to grab disc one, it will grab disc 3. (right next to it).

I will re-initialize it, and cycle around the cd platter-- and it will work briefly, then go back to missing the CD by one.

And when I throw it into service, a message reads "errors exist"

You have an easy fix? Thoughts? Thanks!!!

I have the same problem. (CD 100A). Be interesting to see what the experts say. It only happens now and then but still a pain to have to clear the error and re Initialize.

actually...

Called the person I got this from. I adjusted the optic that picks up where the HOME is on the spindle.. and also sprayed some air in there. The thumb screw will adjust the optic.

I got it back to working the way it should. Let's see if my fix will last...

Do you see the small thumb screw(back on the right... kinda on top)? There is also a quarter inch screw there. Unscrew the 1/4 inch screw- then adjust the thumb screw. That will move the optic up and down. I went a quarter turn at a time until I found something that worked- then tightened up the screws to keep it set in place.

I ALSO sprayed air around the sensor. I think grease can get in there and affect what the optic sees, and cause it to be off by one.

So... I am nor sure if it was the air, or the adjustment. But I just tried it again this am to see if it stuck... so far so good!

Thank you,
I will give it a try.
