I have a Rowe CD-100C jukebox out on location that is eating my lunch. The location called and told me the title pages would not turn. Upon arrival, I noticed all the pages had been turned to one side (#00-11) and the title page turn buttons had no response when pushed. I opened the door and tried the title page switch inside the cabinet. Same issue, nothing moved. I recycled power and the pages flipped and began working. I hung around but could not make it mess up again.
Next day same call. Went to location again and found all the pages turned to the same position and nothing would respond. I removed the title rack and changed out the title rack motor. I checked the two switches on top of the title rack and adjusted them. All worked well and I left.
Next day same call. Again, all the pages were turned to the beginning and would not move. The waitress told me the title pages moved by itself to the beginning and then would not move. Out of desperation, I started changing parts from a working machine. I replaced the power supply, CCC, keyboard, and title rack PCB. I figured I had it fixed for sure!
Next day same call. I checked voltages at the CCC and title rack PCB. All looked fine. Next I changed out the service switch assembly on the left side of the jukebox with a new one. The old one had black tar looking gunk on the pins. After this, I felt certain that I had found bad contacts and replacing the switch was the problem.
Next day same call. ARRGGG!!!! There is really nothing else to change except for the display and the wiring harness. I went to the location and removed every single plug connector in the wiring harness one at a time. I removed each wire and reformed the pins to push harder on the PCB pins. I was careful not to mix up any wires. I rebooted and it has not had any issues since.
SO....5 trips to the same location to fix this thing. Looks like the pins had become weak over the years and were making bad connections. Wish I would have done this first.
I hope this helps someone with the same issue.
