I have a Rowe BC3500 where the front rail has a bunch of markings. I think the rail is stainless steel, welded to the cabinet (in such a way that I can't access the bottom side of the panel). Does anyone have any ideas to make this look better? Wondering if Bondo and some chrome Rustoleum would look better, but I've never heard of anyone applying Bondo to stainless..

Thank you!

You can get cute tiny anvils from Harbor Freight. If you could figure out how to hold the anvil under the spot you could use a piece of wide hardwood on top and hammer it back flat. (the key is the wood. You want it to distribute the pressure evenly. You don't want to go pounding on the steel directly with a hammer cause you'll leave dimples)

Its hard to tell from the pic if you can even get under that.

OR just leave it :)

Look at some automotive body work videos for removing dings.. there is a skill to flattening them out a bit without making them look worse.. then you can decide how much time you want spend polishing it up.. compounds and a buffer can bring that a long way too..

If you decide to 'try' it.. I'd practice on some scrap metal. You don't want to learn on the finish piece.
