I recently picked up a Rowe BC25 change machine. Unfortunately, I have been having several issues with it and can not get it to work consistently.
The issues are:
1 - The 3rd breaker (5 volt I think) will often pop up. This happens randomly, and I can't figure out what is causing it. It will work for a while and dispense change when I insert a dollar bill but then ~15 minutes later, it won't work and I see that the 5V breaker has popped up, resetting it will get it working again for a period of time but will pop up again later on
2 - More recently, I have been seeing that the 4th light on the bottom left below the breakers will go out. When this happens, nothing works. If I turn the machine off and then back on again, the light will sometimes come back on and the machine is functional for a period of time but will fail again over time.
3 - The "Out of Service" light does not come on when these issues occur which is odd. I know the light does work though as when I unplug the DBA, the service light comes on
4 - I noticed that if I leave the machine turned on for long periods of time, the inside gets extremely hot. I left it on over a weekend and when I came in on Monday and inserted a dollar bill, the coins came out and were very hot, nearly burned my fingers as the coins were that hot! I now have the machine on a timer and it is only on when the location is up and running.
I am not sure if there are any technicians in the NJ area that I could bring the machine to and have it looked at. I would love to get this working consistently but really have no idea how to diagnose the issues.
Any help would be appreciated!
Ed
