I've got a rowe bc 150 that I can't keep programmed. At first I thought it was bad test switches, but they all test fine. There is a vertically mounted pcb that slides out and allows for programming. It uses the long, thin single wipe MCR style connectors and when you pull the pcb in and out the connectors get funky.

I'm planning to change all the pins to 3 sided swipe pins, but thought I'd ask if anyone had experience with these change machines that might be able to offer a better solution.

I need free play on my change machine!

That "slide out" board is the cpu board and it has a soldered-in rechargeable memory backup battery just like a Gottlieb pinball machine. The battery may be shot.
