I am looking for someone with Rowe experience. I barely get any volume form my Rowe amp. A clock radio pushes harder. The amp in question is a 70135-a yellow in color. The overload light is on on the right hand side witch is labeled "internal amp". However the other side labeled "external amp" is not light up. Is this the source of my trouble? I am willing to listen to any ideas. Thank a bunch.

amp

The cab i believe was once an E-Rock and the best i can tell was later converted to a eCast box. The number on the amp i gave you was printed on the bottom left hand corner of the amp, if that helps.

amp

Closer inspection the amp carries the Rock-Ola name badge on it. I don't know why i did not see this before.

picks

these are picks of the case and the top of the amp i will post picks of the lights as well. i will do the same on the other forum ASAP.

Overload Light photos

The second to last photo is the "error" in question. The last photo is the good side referred to in the first post

i'm not crazy

This box carries AMI, Ecast and Rock-Ola badges. If anyone has an explanation for this please tell me. My assumption is that this was an AMI box, later converted to Ecast and branded with the Rock-Ola name. It is my understanding that Rock-Ola's name has been sold around the Biz a few times, is that correct? Anyway my main concern is fixing this amp or sending it to someone who can.

That was probably a Rowe juke converted to a Rock-ola downloader. Rockola used Ecast for the hardware system.

Suggest you contact tech support at Rockola:

BTW, Rowe bought out Rockola two years ago. Rockola is now a division of Rowe!

I have and they told me its blown. They want 275.00 to repair it. Anyone know a cheaper repair outfit? You are still my personal JC. Thanks Ken

If this amp config is anything like the Rowe CD amps the first thing I would do is look at the power transistors and their pre-drivers. Measure for the diode drops across transistors B to E, C to E, to look for opens and shorts. They design juke amps to fail in a predictable way.
