Ok, I'm a total noob when it comes to routers - I'm buying one this weekend, and could use some advice from the pros on what bits to get.

I'm going to try to cut a groove for some replacement back-doors for Midway cabinets (Tron, Domino Man, etc), so that the door fits into the original slots. Anyone ever done this before? I'm not sure what sort of bit will work for this.

Have you done that?
yes i used it to make doors for my sinistar, starwars, gauntlet and just recently junkyard. the dado i have is only 2 blades with 3 cutting widths. works easy if you have a table saw, but it's a big tool VS a router. your could do it with a router and a clamp down fence easy enough also.
