So I posted this thread about an issue with a Metal Slug cart that I have: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=155648
However, another KLOVer tested it on his 2-slot and it works great. So I am again stumped as to why my 4-slot doesn't like this cart as well as another 2 carts I just picked up.
Here is the scenario broken down:
- I have a 4-slot (MV-4F) in which all the slots work with the following carts: Windjammers, Neo Bomber Man, Samurai Shodown 2, Baseball Stars Pro.
- The following carts work, but come up with graphic glitches no matter which slot I put them in: Metal Slug, Metal Slug 4, Samurai Shodown IV. All three were tested and worked fine on another's 2-slot.
- I have cleaned all connectors on the carts as well as all of the slots on my 4-slot.
So why does my 4-slot hate those three specific carts? Does the effectiveness of the cart depend on whether or not you're using a 2-slot or 4-slot? What else could be the problem?
Any help is appreciated.
