ROUND 2! Dynamo HS-2 Street Fighter II World Warrior Resto/Conv

I'm so digging the whole button scheme with the purple front paint. Very awsome!

+10 for the jap cab with the Tekken series.
+10000000000000000 for the Tekken slot machine.

:D Thanks. This hobby is very addictive, and I love to restore things. Who knows what more I would have if I had more room.

First and foremost, I do want to give a HUGE thanks to mert8431 for the awesome side art artwork. It matches the other artwork completely and the black is solid. The side art is sharp, did not smear, the right size fits perfectly. It was also a breeze to put on with not one tiny air bubble. I thank you tons man because you saved my a lot of issues and MONEY there.

(came in a roll up tube unscathed)

(Good solid colors that matched, and the art is clear not blurry)

Over a weeks time I've managed to get a bit done. Some things went south.... I had gotten some pelxi glass for the CP and drilled out all of the holes with no problems. However, when it came time to cut off the corner edges I ended up snapping off way more then I wanted to. I measured it correctly, it's just when I went to bust the cut piece off, it broke off what I didn't want broken off. I guess I didn't add enough cuts, maybe have to cut it like 10x to be sure it's going to break off evenly.
I will work on that today, and hopefully by tomorrow or tonight I can have the CP finally done.

I got my marquee done and replaced the old burnt one. Along with reading some other lighting threads, I've come to the decision to replace the old light bulb set up and put a florescent light in there instead. It's brighter, more even, and won't get all hot and burn up my marquee. I do need to replace that top bracket, it's a bit short and somehow got bent and will not match the screw holes anymore. Did the damn thing like shrink?

(The old burnt vs the new and improved)

Other than that, cosmetically, I am almost done. I just need a few more little art work pieces for the front, and I am done. I did add the t-molding as well, got about 40' so I could do mine and my brother's SFIICE cab. I'm also waiting on my order from twisted quarter to come in so I can finish rebuilding my coin door. After that I have some inside work to do to get this thing in top top working condition. I would say I'm 90% complete, and thanks again mert8431.

Glad they see they arrived safe and sound! The whole cabinet looks great! I love that adhesive vinyl stock, the ink lays on it nicely and dries correctly. Its also very forgiving when you lay it down, as you mentioned. Good to see another nice looking Street Fighter cabinet and you're very welcome.

Mike printed my mini sideart for me also.
He's a great guy!

Not really an update. But I realized that I didn't give credit where credit is due. For those that really like the CP idea. It was that of thesharkfactor on another forums maybe even this one, However I used the button colors to match the original color tones. Since I think they matched better that way, and again the purple front side was another added plus for the purple buttons. I however, don't like the Japanese sticks on a American uprights, just like vice versa.

He also did a great job hooking up on of the ugliest wooden uprights there is.

I had gotten a lot of inside work done, replacing nuts and bolts, re-wiring, re-configuring the insides that best I can. I started off with taking out the old marquee lights and installing a florescent light fixture in there. It looks well illuminated without glare, and most importantly heat that would cause me to replace my marquee in a year or so.

Doing so knocked out a lot more dirt/dust and some cob-webs. I thought I had two speakers with one blown out. Not the case, so I will have to go out and get another one. I may just go ahead and get a whole new set. Does anyone know how to install a volume cap so I can adjust the sound when needed?

Moving down I finally got my pexi-galss overlay to fit snug and tight. threw in my new joys and re-wired my whole CP with new connectors. I will have this wired for both the CPS-1 SFWW board, and a XXXX-in-1 board. I just need to adjust the pot on the monitor to fix my monitor issue.

I managed to get the coin door back into place with some new parts. The old reject buttons were shot and looked to have been almost hacked to get whatever change someone lost in the machine. I even tried to bang out the kicked in dent on the bottom door.
Replaced the locks that will soon have key chains handing from them once OTT is finished.

If you look to the top left, you will see a tiny black credit button I installed into one of the existing holes. that way I don't need any tokens or anything. just push and play.

Once I had everything wired. It was perfect timing by the mail as I had gotten my US version of SFII:WW pcb that I requested on here about a week or so ago. Thanks to pinkdork1 I was able to install this game and make it officially a SFII machine.

Still have a bunch of odds and ends to do with the machine. May have noticed that I still need a top L bracket for my marquee. With the right screws and bolts, I should have everything where I want it. I still need to make some more repo art for the machine and I managed to find this!..........

Not sure what this machine originally was, but I do have an official number for the cab. Too bad that it didn't have the game title, that would have been awesome to know.

I also need to flip the cap for the 50/60 to see if I can get the top of the monitor to function better. Than life should be good.

One side note:

The board I got from Pindork1 is a strange version.
I've tried to fire it up to see what version it was and the monitor doesn't set on fast enough to display the very first screen that shows the version serial number.

The attract mode is on, and the switches are set for 2 credits start / 1 to continue.
But upon watching the game run it's course the demo mode was unlike none I ever seen.
Usually the game will cycle through all of the world warriors on the select screen. But it doesn't it just sits on Ryu and Ken and never moves. The timer runs out and Ryu and Ken are flown to the normal stages.
DSC02107.jpg

In many other versions it's the same. Blanka/Guile in Guile's stage, Ryu/Ken in Ryu's stage, Zangief/Ken in Dalsims stage..... etc. But instead the cpu doesn't select anyone and Ryu and Ken are always chosen, yet they fly to the same stages as they normally would.
Bison is super ridiculous with his moves, and his scissor kicks are unblock-able. It does not appear to be a hack version at all.

Also there is only 1 set of kick harness pins instead of 3 sets on the C board. This is an official CPS-1 hardware, and eproms. I may have to try to see if I can do the famous glitches with Guile and Dalsim and see what happens.
Just thought I would share that since it was strange to me.
