Picked up a Rough Ranger board for cheap. When I plugged it in to my multicade I have notice that the score portion of the playfield is distorted like screen curl (but this is on a flatscreen monitor). No other part of the screen is distorted. What could be causing this? Had a Double Dribble board that used to do this too.

Probably not a board problem. Ask the same question in the monitor section they would probably know more about that issue.

I had sync issues with a lot of boards when I was running them on an LCD. I found that using a resistor on the sync line made a number of them work perfectly, unfortunately I can't remember the value, try 50 ohms as a starting point.

I have also heard of people using a small cap (eg 100pF).

You can just wire in a pot, temp of course, and when you get it working ohm the value and put proper resistor in dare.
