Did they discuss a price? Pinballpcb has a replacement set, but I think it's like $400 if you want both.

I'd be VERY interested if the price point was reasonable.

was told a little more than the 3-6 mpu/driver that they sell now.as for the system 9 never asked.i was offered if i wanted to wait there new board, but i just needed it for my flash so i didnt care.i might pick one up at the ohio show to keep as a test board.

What is their reason behind not having 7 support to begin with?

There is no reason for their board to not have supported 7 anyway, you can mod even a Sys 3 MPU to run 7 software.
The original driver boards are interchangeable, with a couple mods for any driver board to support from 3-7.

If you can modify MPU+Driver original hardware as low as 3, for 3-7 operation, why the heck does an aftermarket board only support 3-6?

I was looking at their board, before I found a good condition Sys 4 MPU for VERY cheap.

System 7 has more RAM. Converting a System 3 to run System 7 code is one thing but it won't run properly because there isn't enough RAM. I can't comment on why their original design didn't include support for System 7 but it's not as simple as it may seem.
