Hey all-
I finally got a MCR Sarge PCB (YAY!) A little history:
Sarge was released in two formats, the Monoboard format, and the MCR format. The Monoboard was featured in the standard dedicated upright cabinet. They also made a somewhat rare Sarge conversion kit. This conversion kit was for only for the 4 player Demolition Derby cocktail/ island unit. Demolition Derby cocktail machines uses MCR hardware, so to make the conversion easier, they made it a ROM swap into the MCR hardware. So basically there is MCR version and a Monoboard version of Sarge.
I could not find any ROM's online or in MAME that supported the MCR version of this game. Now that I have a working Sarge MCR PCB, I uploaded the ROM's to my PC. Should I send these somewhere, or am I the only idiot that cares about the MCR version and the Monoboard version? (I wanted to be able to play both games on 4 player Demolition Derby machine)
Thanks-
Mark

The MAME team wants to document EVERYTHING, so you should send them in.

There's 50 "Bootleg" versions of some games, so why not add your different "legitimate"(?) ROMs in there, and I'm sure some would love to have your ROMs to burn for themselves for their hardware...having them in MAME makes it easy to know about them, and locate them.

Yeah, I agree they'd probably be interested. I know if I can get the ROM's on one of my Crazy Kong boards dumped, I'll probably forward them to the MAME team. I think I've got a version not currently in MAME. (assuming it's just not a ROM error causing the difference, but I don't think it is, as I've seen a video of one that played the same)
