I was sanding my Rolling Stones Pinball preparing it for new paint. When I sanded the head, there was a coat of Purple under the white base coat. Does anyone know if these ever had a purple head? The purple was only on the back, top and on the trim around the backglass. It wasn't on the sides.

Uh huh huh huh huh...purple head....uh huh huh huh.

Um...sorry, I have nothing to contribute besides that. :)

Is it possible the previous owner at one time or another did a head/cabinet swap?
Maybe that head was intended for another model and ended up becomming a left over so the manufacturer sprayed over it. I guess I'd start looking at models within ~3 years prior of this title and see if any purple heads were released.

After getting it out in the sunlight, it looks like it is actually dark blue and not purple. It looks to be all original. The sideart was extremely faded and didn't look like it had been redone. Don't know any thing else about it, just curious if anyone has seen this before. I think it would look pretty good with the trim around the backglass was purple.
