Rolling Stone Cab pics now out!

have you played any of the newer Sterns? I found the same addictive quality in Avatar - which, by the way...doesn't look similar to Iron Man. 1 ramp vs. 2, a motoriI don't plan on buying one....and I doubt most of the people bashing it would ever buy a NIB pinball anyway, even if it was awesome.

I've played almost all the Sterns made in the last ~4-5 years including WOF :)
Sorry Greg but I'm just not all that thrilled with anything they put out. Thrilled meaning I want one for home. Are they fun .... well sure they are but for me I classify machines like this:
1.) "oooh new machine I haven't played before" fun
2.) "wow that was a good time. I will drop a coin in when ever I see it" type of fun
or
3.) :This game is the shiz of the nit and I shall buy one for home.

Sorry to say but IM, Avatar and BBH (to name a small handful) are all in my category #1 above. At the very LEAST the manufacturers need to get stubborn turds like me to be in the #2 category to stay in business because they sure as hell aren't selling to OPs like they used to.

And yes, Tron if it turns out how we "think" it will turn out will indeed be my first NIB.

Someone who shall remain nameless emailed me a photo of the TRON pf drawing and as Rarehero pointed out - it has MAJOR promise. Out of respect for this person I will not share the photo please do not ask.
Stern has a very high possibility of releasing a machine that could easily join the (A-list). Stern has had me uninspired for many years now, but this machine has me willing to buy NIB for the first time in life.

Back on topic (sorry), that tongue looks like it'll need a Cliffy protector lol.

Ditto to all that.

I would have dropped coin in Iron Man but the ops near me haven't bought a new pin since IJ4. ...but I've put 1000 plays on my Iron Man and still find it fun and addictive...so, it falls in to #1 and #3 for me!!!! :)

i hope you fellas are right about the potential of the TRON pin. i think this is one they can absolutely knock out of the park. definitely going NIB for this one. it will be my first stern and my first ever NIB purchase.

any word on the possibility of a spinning magnetic disk? i'd think with the identity/light discs that a spinning disk would make sense. and i'm a sucker for a good spinning disk. ;)

Talking with a few people else where (and thus my thread about what was a prominent item/figure in the movie) trying to figure exactly what Stern plans on using as the main toy. The drawing I saw only says toy in a "poorly" circled area. This could be taken as just a place marker or possible as the identity disc. If they used this disc like the ring on LOTR that'd be cool as hell. However the drawing doesn't show a ramp of any sorts behind the toy so I was thinking some sort of front side bash toy much like Avatar AMP suit but I haven;t seen the movie so I have no idea what if any item could be used for that?
Anyways back to discussing TRS :D

If you take away all of the Rolling Stone parts of this machine (pics of the band, album covers, band member names, etc), I think it doesn't look too bad.

Maybe for me, this machine would be better if they just made a generic rock and roll pin.

I already have a Bally Heavy Metal so I would rather have a Stones theme than something generic :p

If you ever want to sell that Heavy Metal I know M1A was absolutely drooling over that game at CAX a couple years back. I know he was looking.
