But, if you don't like the art, we can't blame Stern for this one....this seems to be the Stones official licensing art:

I think Gary Stern personally wanted this Pin done maybe the Stones are his favorite band.I know he is a fan of Elvis

The Stones were good in the 60s but I haven't liked any of their stuff since then. I am no bigger fan of Elvis than your average American but I would rather have an old beat up Elvis than a brand new one of those. It is ugly. That is what you get when you take the easy road and use official licensed artwork. That artwork MIGHT be acceptable on a boring board game but if they keep this crap up they will end up like Gottlieb.

Yes, looks like their hand was forced when it came to the artwork. Now we have to figure out who forced them to make the pin in the first place. :D

If operators are Stern's main target for sales, they have seriously missed the boat on this one.. I couldn't imagine that anyone (an operator) would look at this machine and think that is has the art it needs to attract players over to put money in it. It's just boring and I know I wouldn't give it a second glance if I wasn't already into pinball...

And I agree, I think Gary Stern just wanted to do this pin so he could meet the Stones- LOL.

Of course, gameplay is paramount! We'll see...

Well, I have to admit this turned out better than I expected. People call it a "typical fan layout". Ya know what? I loves me some typical fan lay out!
I just flat out don;t like the Stones. Don;t care how good it plays the music will make me cringe.

So - C'MON STERN get that Tron finished up and rolling down the assembly line!
Looking forward to the two ramps and 3 flippers because that is my personal favorite "IT" factor.
THAT'S the one that's going to be the mac daddy. (OK I'm sincerely hoping anyway).

But I feel Stern did a nice/decent job with the Stones pin from a visual theme stand point.

O'boy another Stern bomb, Now how bad is Tron going to look.

OZ is looking better and better.

Stern gets most of their art assets from the licensor. If Disney supplies them w/ cool stuff, Tron will look cool. They're also experimenting w/ EL Wire, so if that's all over the playfield, it'll look SUPER cool. I can already tell you the playfield design looks really promising on Tron...more like a Steve Ritchie game with tons of flow, combos, and 3 flippers.
