Please help. I was about to make my leap from s-video converter board to an actual arcade monitor for my test bench, but I don't have a clear picture. The bars roll downward. I hear the game playing and I tried adjusting all of the pots w/o success. I've attached some pics. Am I missing wires for the input? The jamma harness only has five wires but the monitor has ten spots. Do I split the sync wire to both vertical positions? I just want a normal test bench...is that so wrong???

Thanks,

Bill

If it's JAMMA you're testing, you need to movie it to the negative horizontal pin (last one to the right) first, and if it still won't sync, split it and move it to both of the negative sync pins...

Thanks. I'll give a try tomorrow.

When I split the wire, the picture came up (Gang Wars). I swapped out boards and tried to test two others (Joe and Mac Returns + Shuuz), but these came up with the same issue as before. Do you have to adjust wiring for the various Jamma boards or should the setup remain consistent for all of them?

Thanks for your help.

Bill

When I used one of those converter boards, I found that I had to change dip switches on it to get various board to sync...

So you have the white wire on the end opposite the red now ?
Try with the black wire on the third pin same end.

You may have to adjust the horizontal hold and such a tad on the monitor for different boards, but you shouldn't have to re-wire things for them.
