Rollie Leaf Switches

http://www.arcadeshop.de/Action-Buttons-Leafswitch-Champ_566.html

I have some and they are nice, but expensive. I have some in my Mame cabinet, but only for the main action buttons. I also used some of the switches in my custom Berzerk bat joystick adapter.

2.75 Euro.....Yikes

Gonna have to go old school then.

Right now that converts to a little more than $3.50 USD/CAD. I got them when they were $5 a pop. That's why I only got enough for the primary buttons on my cab.

I've been trying for months to find good feedback from those who have bought the Rollie leaf switches, but for some reason this is difficult and the only place to get them has been out of stock for a while: http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/36-rollie-leaf-switch-for-pushbutton.html

The other option is the Micro-Leaf from Groovy game gear, of which there is also very little feedback on as of yet:

I'm assuming that either way, like the original leaf switches they will have to be occasionally adjusted.

I sent paradise an email last night about the switches and they should have them in the next couple weeks.

Well it looks like Bob Roberts will still be the place to get my leaf switches.

The Rollies never came in and the Leafs for the ClassX are not standard sizes. So you can't use them on any other button or the leafs for any other button on them, and if there is a problem or they need to be replaced in the future you have to start over.

Bob makes his own leafs to the industry standard size.

Our True-Leaf Pro leaf switches, used with our CLASSX pushbuttons, will very probably last even longer than the switches on 20 year old panels. Those old switches were put under a lot of stresses, based on the way the buttons interacted with them, that the CLASSX buttons just don't cause. Of course, I still have original ~20 year old switches on a Defender panel here that, aside from a bit of deformity from being heavily overextended, are perfectly serviceable.

If the True-Leaf Pro switches fail on you in 20 years, I'll be happy to offer you some new ones to replace them...if we're both still breathing ;)

As far as "standard leaf switches" are concerned, I'm not really sure about what you are considering to fall into this category. I have three real arcade machines in the room behind me, and each of them have leaf switches which vary in some small way or the other. Only one of them would likely be replaceable, without modification of some sort, with the parts you are calling "standard". But even more importantly, if you had actually tried our CLASSX butttons, you would see that the (standard?) leaf switches used with those plastic holders actually do work with our CLASSX buttons, albeit with a larger footprint than our True-Leaf Pro switches. :beerchug:

Randy, have you ever thought of making replacement leafs for wico joysticks?
