Gabesdad1981 it was nice to meet you and your friend and hang out a while. Also met spacebaby and talked with him a good bit and he was an awesome guy as well. I got the following stuff:

Galaga for $275 ( been wanting one for a while)
Nintendo VS. Unisystem with RBI in it for $230 ( looks like its in a DK Jr. cab) I got a little carried away on this one I wish I had got it for a little less.
MegaTouch Maxx Ruby edition for $110

My wife played the heck out of the Megatouch when I got home last night so I think it was a good purchase.

I also bid on the Sinistar that needed work. I think it went for around $85. Bid on the Whirlwind pinball as well. This was my first auction like this so I learned a lot. The guys mentioned above were real helpful and answered a bunch of my newbie questions.

I hate I missed some of you other guys. Hopefully I can meet some of you at the next auction.

I bought 3 new 13" monitors for $70 each and a new multi sync 25" for $275. I thought that was a hell of a deal as they went for $175 and $375 or close to that at Kingsport last month.

Picked up a pretty nice Off Road Challenge for $375, Ms. Pac for $325, and 4 other cheap games.

Actually, compared to last months Kingsport auction, the games prices were pretty high for the most part.

There was an operator there I had never seen before buying up all the cheaper cabinets. Bidder # 209 I think. He must have bought at least 20 or so 25" games.

I missed the prices on the Safecracker, Attack from Mars, and Episode One pins. Anybody catch them?

Some prices

Safecracker-2700 bucks was missing the wings and the rope light was burnt out.

Attack from Mars- pretty nice and played well..3200 bucks which was off the charts in my opinion.
Didnt catch the other one, but a brand new looking Sopranos went for 2200 bucks.. A nice playboy sold for 500 bucks, there was a Terminator that looked awesome went for 950 bucks..

On the vid side a very nice working Tron went for 625 bucks and a sweet 3 player off road went for 235 bucks, they also had a descent 2 player off road that went for 140 bucks.

If I remember correctly you needed to borrow a measuring tape to make sure the Tapper was going to fit :)

That 3 player Off Road was nice. I know the Sopranos pin that was listed as a floor model with 900 plays developed an error that was showing on the display before the auctioneer got to it.

And that Terminator was in nice shape. The Dr. Dude cabinet looked great but the playfield had some serious wear.

Yeah the tapper fit fine but I had 4 games to take home and only 3 will fit.. Cant beleive my little Ridgeline was such a work horse....................I now have 3 games residing in NC, my Baby Pac sitting at my buddies shop along with my Dragons lair mini mame project and now the Tapper.....

What a day!!!!!!!!!! Great meeting Gabesdad1981 and BenG76, I just love the KLOV love at these auctions....

Glad Gabesdad got that Vindicators, I have never seen one before, looks realy neat.

I picked up the following; Sega Wild Riders, nice cab, seat etc, no boards power supply will
resell as whole unit or part out, $30.00
Namco, Entry #1, nice cab, nice side art not a bad set down
machine, $20.00
Sega, Harley Davidson L.A. Riders, nice shape $130.00
Atari, S.T.U.N. Runner, sit down not working, good cab, pretty
good art work $5.00 (Found $7.00 in quarters in it and a small
box of tokens in it.---------COOL!!!!!!)
Glaxian cocktail, $125.00
Gauntlet Dark Legacy, very nice cab, still need to check it out
$150.00

Linked up with my Buddy Robert from W.Va and picked up the Karate Champ he brought me for $150.00 NICE!!

Brought down a Tv Basketball for my buddy Scott from Galax Va.

Hung out in the parking lot eating lunch, swapping stories, and discussing the biggest jerk operators that were at the auction., You've gotta just feel the love!!!!
Untill next auction......................

You guys got some good games-

The Vindicators looked good-
Nice price on the Dark Legacy
I saw you guys eyeing the Tapper

I should have got the Sinistar. That thing was complete and even had manuals. It complained of a RAM error and I worked with the operator a little while with it. The error message followed the RAM chip when we moved it. If someone had a 4116, I'd have bet that it would come up. Hell- the sound and speech were there. Should have left the old dude my number in case he bought it back, but he was from Tennessee.

I got the Star Trek upright. The screen was a little scrambled, but I've seen enough of them to know I can get it going simply. I thought I was going to have to gut it and scrap the cab until I found a ride (close to) home for it.

It would have been a shame too- the cabinet was pretty good and the art looked great!

I met a few of you, but wish I would have approached some more guys. It just feels funky walking up to someone and seeing if they're 'on the group'. Especially with the overall 'don't be too friendly' mentality of the auctions. Most of the operators are like that- they know which games belong to which op and after all, they're competing on bids with each other.

Most people don't mind spending more money than me on crap.

Who was the guy with the white T with red printing 'old school' and a joystick picture?

Maybe "Hello, I'm KLOV- kstillin" nametags would work better...

Oh, and I got three old-school dollar bill changers for $20. Those looked sweet in the back seat of my Oldsmobile....

Later-
Kerry
